Francis Reynolds paints images…and then obscures them with big brush strokes and textures. It’s kind of a trend I’ve spotted on Instagram and other places. I wonder if images you can’t see is a kind of reaction to too many images.

Giuseppe Gradella’s photography feels like a fashion shoot for ghosts.

I have mixed feelings about Alpay Efe’s painting. It’s formally beautiful - he often paints on mylar and other unusual surfaces which lend a photographic character to his work. There’s a 4-D quality of many images / exposures. But…it’s a little pin-up-y

Justin John Greene’s paintings are expressive, unnerving, and strange.

Doron Langberg makes intimate, personal, and sometimes erotic paintings of people living their lives.

Julia Wachtel’s paintings are fascinating combinations of found images, ads, and logos.

Today’s Microsoft workaround…

Today I learned that Microsoft is still committed to breaking the web.

In our case we were trying to get the current day of the week, to grab a day-named property from an object dynamically. Nope! The hidden unicode characters mean that’s undefined
