This is a great little write-up of using Micro.Blog as an escape hatch from Instagram.

Since Micro.blog supports WordPress importing - and Squarespace supports WordPress export I think I just found an exit hatch from Squarespace.

(If I ever need it)

A 45 minute (give or take) sketch / painting of eggs done on the bus yesterday. My seat-mate put down his phone to watch me paint.

At work, I’m having my team read “JavaScript Allongé” as a learning / training exercise.

I read something this morning which made functional scope and the new keyword (applied to a constructor function) make sense in a whole new way.

Great little exercises and lessons on drawing…

It’s really appealing that I can use the visual editor in Squarespace to visually design a blog post (if I’m feeling fancy) but for common case of writing or posting a picture, it’s painful. Easier to write in ByWord and copy/paste.

Squarespace is losing some of its polish for me. It’s a great platform generally speaking. But the lack of an API or any 3 party integrations (like IFTTT or Blogging tools) is pretty frustrating. Their iOS clients are clunky and the web interface is only good for design.

I saw a lonely basketball in the park Friday.

This is a recent issue of my 100 Doodles project. An art newsletter published maybe twice a week with small paintings and writing. In this issue I take the train. Again.

Kellen Jett’s work is right up my alley.

I like the loose brushwork and weighty forms.
